Welcome! I am Mrs. Enloe. With much prayer and anticipation, I took a leap of faith and opened a local private school to serve my community. For 10+ years, I was a public-school educator who felt a need for change in educating our children. I watched as lawmakers made learning standardized and all about testing and scores. This approach does not truly educate the whole child for life beyond their years of education and prepare them for adulthood. I watched myself and teachers alike become overwhelmed by the mandates and policies redundant to educating students. At Magnolia Academy, our focus is to build a school that is well equipped to give students a true learning experience that focuses on the child, not just the academics. My vision for transitioning from public education to private is to cultivate exceptional people and build students’ love of learning in a whole new way. At Magnolia Academy we focus on the whole child and create well-rounded students in school and for life beyond the classroom. My years of experience as an educator will help me fulfill these responsibilities. I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified to teach all subjects from Early Childhood through 6th grade. I have training in Dyslexia, English as a Second Language, Special Education, and Gifted and Talented. In my years of service, I have worked with students with special needs including autism.
Hello! I am Mason. I am the student assistant teacher. I enjoy being homeschooled through Magnolia Academy Virtual Homeschool. Outside of school, I am a youth bowler. I travel across the state of Texas and throughout the United States to compete in bowling tournaments. I enjoy being able to do school and my sport jointly. You will see me facilitating the sign language course and helping in the science and social studies courses when we do fun experiments and activities. I love meeting new friends and look forward to getting to know you.
Hi! My name is Mrs. Owens. I started in the education field in 2007. I began my career in the public school system as a substitute teacher. After a few years, I began working in a pre-kindergarten classroom. I spent five years in the classroom before becoming the school Librarian. In 2020, I left the public school and began my journey at Magnolia Academy Private School. I spent 2 years as a pre-kindergarten teacher. I am excited to be the online teacher and be able to meet students of all ages and grade levels! I love connecting with students and getting to know them. I look forward to teaching your child and helping guide them throughout the year.
Greetings! My name is Mrs. Moore. I am married with four children, eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild. I have been in the educational field for 36 years. I have taught in a variety of educational settings as a classroom teacher, curriculum director, counselor, and an instructional specialist. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Home Economics and English and a Masters Degree in Counseling with a Principal’s Certification. In addition, I hold a Master Reading Teacher certification and both a K-8 Comprehensive Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education. I believe in old school reading instruction with heavy focus on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and comprehension. As a master reading teacher, I take all these components and teach our curriculum to ensure successful mastery. I believe children learn at different rates therefore an emphasis is placed on meeting each child’s needs.
